The annual meeting of the Swiss Societies of Pneumology, Thoracic Surgery, Pediatric Pneumology and Pulmonary Hypertension will take place from 9 to 10 May 2019 in Montreux. The diagnostic criteria, examination methods and therapeutic strategies are subject to constant change and are therefore a real challenge for everyone to keep abreast of the latest developments in medical practice, hospitals, nurses and scientists.
Since it is not possible to cover all areas of pneumology within two and a half days, the Scientific Committee has, necessarily arbitrarily, selected the topics that appear to have produced the most significant innovations. In addition, the plenary presentations and 8 workshops promise a participatory and practical approach to clinical issues and scientific exchange. In addition, there will be an overview of the funded research projects of the Swiss Lung League, which will make it possible to assess the impetus within research on respiratory diseases in Switzerland.
Not to forget the traditional "Learning Centers" on Wednesday and the satellite symposia organised by our industrial partners, without which the congress could not take place. After a very intense and informative first day, the social evening will take place in the beautiful surroundings of the Château de Chillons, which should not be missed.
